With the stable version of Joomla 4 getting closer, the Joomla Community Magazine is interviewing Joomla extensions developers to find out what path they are following towards Joomla 4. This month we had the chance to interview Oliver Buisard from Simplify Your Web, who develops extensions for Joomla only and is fully committed to making our lives as web designers easier.

Nicky Veitch had a career in IT, and she came across Joomla when she was searching for a solution to sell digital products. Creating her first website was so much fun that she decided to make a career switch. Nicky is quite active in the Joomla Community, which she describes as ‘friendly and welcoming’.

No matter if it’s a travel blog, a recipes collection or a company page, all websites have something in common: they present some kind of content to the visitors. With Joomla, it is easy to create and organise your web content.

We all learn in different ways. Some of us learn by following written step-by-step instructions with or without screenshots, some by watching tutorial videos, some by asking others, and some by clicking around to see what happens. For Julie Steffers, it was a bit of ‘all of the above’. When she needed to create an intranet website, she started out by launching a website on launch.joomla.org, the platform that enables you to build fully functional Joomla websites and experience how Joomla works (for free!). And she learned a lot along the way.

Joomla is a popular open-source content management system. Joomla is used by 3.4% of all the websites with known content management systems, which makes up 2.1% of all websites worldwide.

Similar to any open-source content management system, hacking attacks pose a threat to Joomla security. This is why it is important to take all possible measures to protect your Joomla site and improve its security.

Psst!  Have you heard? Joomla! 4 is coming. Yeah, I know that you’ve heard that before, but it’s TRUE!  Earlier this month Joomla 4 Beta 7 was released and you know what that means?! It means that a Joomla 4 Release Candidate is dropping soon, and where there’s a release candidate, a new Joomla release is soon to follow. To get over the finish line, we need a hand, make that several hands to get things done. There’s a saying, something about many hands, making light work, or something like that. We could use MANY hands to write, test, bugfix, market, document, translate and more.

Were you ever curious about why large websites load their pages quicker. An interesting thing about this channel is finding videos of the most different topics, always in a close and simple tone. That is why, on this occasion, we reached Tim to ask him how he does to carry out his channel.
