A few days ago, with the Association Joomla! Lombardy and the Web Advisor Team, I had the great opportunity to live a work day with Xaverian Missionaries; I don’t want to hide the strong emotion I felt in bringing our beloved CMS in a so prestigious area, with the presence of official Vatican State delegates and missionaries coming from all over the world.

February 9th was Safer Internet Day. Google offered Gmail users an extra 2 GB of space to perform a quick security audit on their account. The tasks were easy: a quick review of the account recovery information and the connected applications. Even though it took only a few minutes and many will never realize it, the audit will have a big impact for thousands of users who dodged a bullet with their name on it.  Small things can make a big difference. It's the magic of preventative care.

University students from many parts of the world will spend the summer break ("winter break" in some countries) writing code and learning about open source development. Joomla! is one of the selected mentoring organizations in Google Summer of Code 2016 (GSoC 2016). Does it mean that students will be coding to make Joomla! even better? Yes! And we invite you all to join us in the GSoC 2016 journey.

Standing in front of an audience of 167 (including an 11 day old baby) and not seeing a single empty seat when the event began was an awesome feeling. It was only then that I knew we had succeeded in rebooting JoomlaDay UK and proving that we have a large community.

Todos somos Joomla, y todos podemos contribuir de diferentes formas, encontrarse en un lugar cómodo siempre es lo mejor, ya que de esta forma estaríamos contribuyendo en un lugar de nuestro agrado y no nos pesaría tanto, al principio puede parecer algo extraño pero poco a poco nos iremos acomodando, todos somos Joomla y entre todos hacemos la diferencia.
