Dans le précédent article dédié à Joomla! et l'entreprise, nous avons passé en revue les principaux avantages que possède Joomla! qui permettent de créer son activité. Depuis toujours, Joomla! est réputé pour ses qualités techniques indéniables. C'est l'une des plateformes qui a permis la transformation et la démocratisation du web au début du XXIème siècle, notamment grâce à l'Open Source qui a favorisé l'éclosion de millions de sites web. Et il est vrai que le système de gestion de contenu de Joomla! est particulièrement bien adapté aux petites et moyennes entreprises qui ont bien saisi l'enjeu d'avoir accès au web à partir d'un outil aussi puissant.

He co-leads a web design and development agency based in Sydney, Australia and runs probably the most popular Joomla weekly podcast/videocast called Joomla Beat wherein he explores the Joomla world and gives light to talented newbies as well as talks with well-known people. Being a professional web-developer, Peter also loves working with new technologies and engineering templates, or doing strategic planning or consulting. Los últimos cuatro años se ha visto un montón de emoción en Joomla esfera, como la comunidad ha seguido creciendo y el software continúa impulsado por las ideas innovadoras. Como todo en un mercado de software en rápida evolución, plataformas van y vienen y Joomla! 2.5 no es diferente. Hoy nos reflejamos en su breve tiempo de vida de casi cuatro años y el marco dispuesto para que Joomla crezca.

Sander Potjer, talented Dutch Joomla developer and passionate Joomla Community Leadership Team member, agreed on this interview with me for Joomla Community Magazine readers to share with them his thoughts on Joomla User Groups, his vision for newly launched Joomla Volunteer Portal, recently revamped by its team Joomla Extensions Directory, his competitive rowing schedule overlapping with JoomlaDay "season" and other Joomla related matters.

Cuando comenzamos un sitio web y no conocemos al cliente, debemos realizar una serie de preguntas que tendremos que tomar nota, analizar, y todo esto nos dará el punto de partida así el desarrollo del sitio a realizar llegue a buen puerto, siempre piensen que encontrar un cliente no es sencillo, pero aún más complicado es mantenerlo en el tiempo, y para ello lo debemos conocer a fondo.

En el grupo de Facebook “Joomla! en español” ha habido en los últimos tiempos algunas preguntas sobre LESS, qué es y cómo se usa. Yo descubrí LESS el año pasado y ¡me cambió la vida! LESS trae muchas cosas que uno conoce de la programación y que extraña cuando crea hojas de estilo CSS: variables, funciones, parámetros… En este artículo hago una pequeña introducción a LESS y muestro algunos ejemplos de como se usa.

Hace unos días me ofrecí a traducir este artículo de la Magazine en inglés: "Adding Fields to com_content The Smart Way", escrito por Don Cranford. Mientras lo traducía, me dí cuenta de que faltaban partes para que la explicación fuera "redonda", así que decidí instalar el plugin y usarlo para poder agregar más informaciones al artículo.

Lo que ofrece el plugin es una forma simple de agregar campos adicionales sin necesidad de instalar extensiones gigantescas a Joomla!. Claro que para hacer un plugin o incluso para usar el de Don Cranford hay que tener conocimientos de programación.

Ya cerramos el 2014 y el día de hoy con esta nueva edición le damos la bienvenida al 2015. Mucho ha pasado en el año que se nos fue, cerramos el año 2014 con mucho cariño, pues grandes cosas sucedieron en el proyecto Joomla!, pero sin sonar mal agradecidos, queríamos que llegara luego el 2015, pues este año se nos vienen grandes avances en el poryecto y estamos muy ansiosos de verlos convertirse en una realidad.

Throughout the past few months I’ve been participating in the Joomla Marketing Team, and I have been in contact with many Joomla users around the world. At the same time, my son got admission to a medical college in the Philippines. I accompanied him on a college visit recently but I also wanted to meet Joomla people in the Philippines to share some knowledge and our passion for Joomla. After doing a little research I found that the once active JUG Philippines had become inactive. So, I set a goal: I decided to make my recent trip to the Philippines useful for the Joomla community by getting this JUG back together.
