She didn’t like Joomla when she first came across it. Learning a new system in the middle of a pandemic while studying something else already was not very high on her fun list. But after Louise Hawkins dove into the documentation, took some training, discovered the Joomla User Group London and got help and support from the community on Facebook, she became more and more enthusiastic. Today she is Team Leader of the Joomla Marketing Team. Pleasure to meet you, Louise Hawkins!
If you have visited the online Joomla User Group London in the last year you perhaps might have heard and seen our next interviewee in action, Juian White. Julian is an expert in the accessibility area and how he became such will become clear in this interview.
Another Joomler that has been volunteering for a long time now but most people haven’t heard about is Cliff. The biggest chance to meet him is either on our forums or in the Joomla Documentation. Let’s meet this, for most people, unknown Joomler and get to know him a bit.
For this edition of “Meet a Joomler” we get to know Allon Moritz just a little bit better. Allon has been active in the Joomla Community for a long time already and his extensions are also well known. So, who is Allon?
Come and meet Jenn, or to be more exact, meet Jenn again since she has already been interviewed in 2015. Jenn has been a Joomla volunteer in different roles and teams through the years. It’s time we catch up with her.
This month we had the chance to get to know in depth a long term volunteer, Sigrid Gramlinger, from Austria. Sigrid is a known contributor, having served in several teams and capacities, especially in the Production Department.
Some Joomlers might already know of Jeroen Moolenschot. He has been active for quite some years now as a volunteer in different roles. But you might also know him by using one of the extensions he builds. Let’s start and get to know Jeroen just a little bit better and read just exactly what Joomla means to Jeroen and a little bit more…
We sit down with long time contributor, all around nice guy and Joomla 4.2 release lead, Roland Dalmulder, to hear what he gives and receives from the Joomla community. You can check out Roland's Joomla extensions on https://rolandd.com/ which he was too nice to promote himself in his answers.
I reached out to Olaf Offick, the Joomla Forum team lead, to get a look under the hood and hear how the team ensures that the Joomla forum remains current and relevant.
This month we had the chance to interview one of the most active authors of the Community Magazine, the one who has always a nice idea about new series to produce and a serial interviewer: Anja de Crom, our Co-Editor.
