It is this time of the year! The Joomla Project will apply to Google to participate in this year’s Google Summer of Code™ (GSoC) program.
Now, we need help from our community and beyond! We are looking for talented individuals who are willing to work with new contributors and guide them.
We'll do it again, - mark the date!
Joomla! 5.2 is coming closer and we will do our beloved Pizza, Bugs & Fun event like the last time. Mark your calendars for August 24th, 2024 to get your pizza and help Joomla! to get release ready. Whether you're a seasoned Joomla! enthusiast or new to the scene, PBF 2024.2 offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying some fun and free pizza.
The point of this intro is to stop you from running scared. If you think this is way out of your reach, then think again. Seriously, we have had many release managers over the last few years, and several have NOT been coders. The job has changed for good reasons, and the outcome has been better: more stable releases with a growing support network of past managers who can help with the process.

The Joomla Community Magazine comes out each month with at least 10 - ideally more - articles on everything Joomla. Our magazine allows people to discover Joomla core’s features, read case studies, and get to know Joomlers, members of the leadership, extensions developers and template designers through interviews. We do this with a team that is very enthusiastic and dedicated, but a little too small. We would very much like you to join us - here's the vacancies we currently have!
Do you sometimes wonder who the people behind the scenes are putting Joomla together? Most of the time it's users like you who have decided to give a little bit of time - answering a form post, translating some language strings, writing some documentation or perhaps testing some patches. Here's how you can give some Time4Joomla.
Help us end the year on a HIGH NOTE! Join the Joomla community behind the rockstar content management system, Joomla!
Joomla! is all about community. This community is strong because of individuals who give of their time and talent, people like YOU! While coders are needed, other skills are too. There are many opportunities in marketing, finance, legal, compliance, testing, and more.
Have you ever tried another CMS? How did that go? It can be quite difficult to understand the workflow of new software. In the Joomla! forum many questions are asked by other CMS users who have some difficulty in understanding Joomla’s workflow or migrating their other CMS to Joomla.
Many Joomla questions on Stack Overflow (SO, a "Q&A for professional and enthusiast programmers" website) get killed off because they are not within the defined realm of questions for SO. As a result, many regular SO users are trying to get a Joomla Q&A site set up. The effort is in the commitment stage, and at this writing we've just passed the 50% mark (now 72%) and we need your help.
