Back in 2012 a group of crazy folks got together and decided it was high time that a Joomla User Group be founded in Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro is a city in in Brazil, located in South America. Interest in the Joomla platform is growing in Rio, thus the need for those of like Joomla mind be joined together so that knowledge can be growing at the same time as interest in the Joomla platform.
JoomlaDay™ events are officially recognized, but not organized, by the Joomla! Project and Open Source Matters, Inc (OSM). Each event is managed independently by a local community.

On 13th October, Joomla User Group Bangladesh arranged a meetup for the first time in Bangladesh. The event was held at the Priyo Tech Office and arranged by some energetic Joomla enthusiasts. Not all of those attendants were Joomla users, and so that was a great way to introduce more people to Joomla through this meetup. It was really mass attendance beyond our imagination and we were tight for space!
JoomlaDay Poland was held on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, 2012 at the Malta's Training and Conference Center in Poznań, Poland's fifth largest city. I would like to share with you a few impressions from this inaugural event.
