The Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre sits in the heart of vibrant Vancouver. Everything the city offers is within walking distance. Many restaurants, shopping, Stanley Park and the iconic Seawall are all a short stroll from the hotel. In 2016 the Wall Centre completed a full renovation to each and every guestroom. We talked to Sean Antonson, who works at the venue, to find more about what it has to offer to attendees who chose to stay there.

Joomla! is shining bright in the North American spotlight this season. The first JoomlaDay Denver took place on October 1st 2016, and the Joomla World Conference takes place in Vancouver November 11th-13th. The final months of 2016 have much to offer Joomla! users on this side of the world, and the close timing and proximity of these two events is creating a new buzz around Joomla in the USA and in Canada.

November is coming and it brings the 5th Joomla World Conference in Vancouver. As always, a lot is being planned and this time the Joomla Community Magazine is dedicating this issue to the event. 

The first JoomlaDay Denver is October 1st 2016, featuring a remarkable mix of speakers, workshops and Joomla! resources. Our program covers everything from website design & development, UX, internet marketing and of course Joomla! We hope you can join us for an unforgettable day of learning and networking in the Mile High city.

Almost a year ago, Bangalore was striking social media channels with JWC 2015 hashtag and here it was back again. This time it was JoomlaDay Bangalore, India #jd16in. Yes, it finally happened with the initiative of the Joomla User Group Bangalore. 

These are times of change. The Joomla Community Magazine is moving forward. And to accomplish that, we needed to know the thoughts of the people who are part of this great community. In June we released the JCM Survey 2016. We got great feedback and some surprises. And now is the time to share these thoughts with everyone.

In July the birthday of the Joomla Community Magazine is celebrated. In 2016 JCM is turning 6! People from all the corners is invited to celebrate this date. Care to join us?

Joomla made its first appearance at HostingCon Global 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Billed as "The Premier Industry Conference for the Worldwide Hosting and Community", the conference/expo seemed like the perfect venue to showcase Joomla! We were asked to present a 2-hour workshop and given an expo booth to share Joomla with the community.
