JoomlaDay Spain 2025: Community, learning, and unity in Málaga
JoomlaDay Spain 2025 once again proved that the real strength of this CMS lies in its community. Held on Friday, November 7, in Málaga, the event gathered nearly 100 attendees, including developers, designers, trainers, and open-source enthusiasts.
It was a complete success — not just because of the quality of the sessions, but also thanks to the collaborative atmosphere that filled every corner of the venue.
A day that brought the Joomla Community together in Málaga
From the early morning, the energy in the venue showed that Joomla is very much alive in Spain.
The organization of JoomlaDay ES 2025 was outstanding: well-timed sessions, top-level speakers, and a logistics setup that encouraged networking and knowledge sharing.
The official program — available on the event website — featured talks focused on development, security, performance, and community growth.
Although the final session couldn’t take place, it didn’t affect the spirit of the event at all. The audience left with smiles and inspiration after a full day of learning and connection.
Talks that inspired and connected
Each session offered a practical and motivating perspective.
There were highly technical presentations for advanced developers, and others aimed at community building and project management.
As an attendee, I found the balance between advanced and introductory content truly remarkable — everyone, from newcomers to experienced professionals, took away something valuable.
During breaks, the hallways turned into vibrant networking spaces. New ideas, collaborations, and future projects emerged naturally — a reminder that human connection remains one of Joomla’s greatest assets.
Showcase: projects that inspire
One of the highlights of the event was the project showcase presented by various companies and professionals.
The work displayed was of an exceptionally high standard, demonstrating how Joomla can adapt to a wide range of needs—from complex corporate portals and educational websites to innovative projects integrating new technologies.
Educational workshop: Bringing Joomla to the classroom
One of the highlights of JoomlaDay Spain 2025 was the workshop held for students from two technology institutes.
The initiative was a complete success: students learned how to install Joomla, explore its capabilities, and even develop their own custom extension.
The excitement and curiosity of the students showed that Joomla’s future is in good hands.
These kinds of educational activities not only train new users but also inspire the next generation of web developers and creators.
Closing the day: Gratitude and the spirit of “All together”
The event ended with a phrase that perfectly captures the essence of JoomlaDay Spain 2025: “Joomla means all together.”
And it truly did. The collaboration among organizers, volunteers, and sponsors made this event a memorable experience.
A special thanks to the organization team for their outstanding work and to all sponsors for supporting this initiative that brings people together under a shared goal: building collaboratively.
JoomlaDay ES 2025 was more than a technical conference — it was a celebration of teamwork, shared learning, and passion for open-source technology.
If one thing was clear in Málaga, it’s that when the Joomla community works together, it goes further.

Great work, team!
Let's do it again next year with more organizers, more attendees, more students and more sponsors.
