A new edition, another location. For 2025 the team decided to organise the JoomlaDays Netherlands in Utrecht at Crowne Plaza hotel, closeby the Central Station.

The day before - preparing

The JoomlaDays started with placing all the banners and other attributes, filling the goodie bags and putting the badges together. And already meeting the first visitor, from the USA, Robin Clapp as she landed early that day. In time other visitors/presenters from outside of the Netherlands arrived and later that evening we had a dinner at a Belgium beer café situated in an old church. The interesting interior certainly was photographed a lot!

JoomlaDays Friday

As this year we held the event in the hotel we were also staying in, getting there was only going downstairs from the room for breakfast which is on the same floor as our event. The day started a bit too early though when the evacuation alarm went off just past 01 o'clock. Luckily it was a false alarm. When my head touched the pillow again, I was already again vast asleep. Later that morning the true start of the day, breakfast, together with some strong coffee.

Meeting everyone again!

The first visitors were already arriving before we started the welcome. You can say people are eager to visit the JoomlaDays again! And just before the opening it really was a beautiful sight seeing all Joomlers in the lounge. We have such a beautiful community.

The presentations

With lots of different topics, people scattered to the three different rooms. The topics varied from Technical SEO, SEO & AI, Automation, Visual Studio Code, Joomla Component Builder and also the history behind Joomla launch from the hosting perspective.

JoomlaDays Saturday - more presentations

Again a day filled with presentations, site safety where an actual pen tester shared how hackers can work to get control of your site, the Joomla Framework, PHPStorm, AI, Forms, YOOTheme and also an insight into Joomla Academy.

As organizers we can only do our best, but the JoomlaDays can only be a success with the help of our sponsors, the venue (who really did their best in comforting us), the volunteers who are willing to spread knowledge with their presentations/workshops and of course all Joomlers visiting our event (again). We really hope everyone enjoyed the JoomlaDays Netherlands 2025 and will be back in 2026!
