Reaching the End of Summer with SQL Optimization
GSoC 2014 with the Project named SQL Optimization for Joomla CMS has come to an end which can be considered as a success full project according to my opinion. This project was not only otoptimize the queries but also to analyze the weaknesses and to find solution as well as research in new enhancements. After four months of hard work I came up with some solutions which can be identfied as the first step of a long journey of Joomla!'s database optimization. The vision of this project was to give my contribution to make Joomla! better than other Content Management Syetems and I hope I have given a contribution which will be a starting step of a long journey.

Joomla is very flexible and has many possibilities. A disadvantage is that working with Joomla can seem complex because of all of the setting and navigation choices. For a Joomla specialist this is usually not an issue, but for many end users it can be a stumbling block. Adding new articles via the Joomla frontend is often one of the first things end users face. This should be a simple operation, but many experience this as very complex.

Hace poco descubrí el corazón en el logo Joomla. Ha estado ahí todo el tiempo, pero por alguna razón yo no lo había visto. Y ahora no puedo dejar de verlo. No puedo sacarlo de mi mente. El creador del logo realmente ha capturado la esencia de Joomla: Un corazón. O varios corazones si miras más de cerca. Es realmente inteligente. El corazón puede manifestar una gran cantidad de atributos para nuestra comunidad. Aquí hay algunos que veo que me gustaría compartir con ustedes.

Como siempre estamos atentos al avance que llevan los amigos de Virtuemart, ya que es uno de los componente de comercio electrónico más utilizados por los usuarios de Joomla, algunos pasos agigantados se dieron para lograr un estabilidad del carrito de compras en la versión nueva para Joomla 3, y pronto festejaremos su lanzamiento.
