If you’ve been in the development business for awhile then you probably have a substantial library of code that you frequently use. It’s your work belt, your briefcase, your attaché that follows you into whatever project that you happen to be working on. You know, trust and love your code base because you wrote it and understand it intimately. Whether another developer would consider it up-to-standards or pretty is irrelevant — it works and so you use it whenever and wherever you can. It helps you follow that sacred tenet of programming, Don’t Repeat Yourself, that we all hold dear.

Our effort is to create the best and the most user-friendly collaborative project management tool for Joomla!. In this effort, we wrote down a list of features we would like to see in our projects based on existing project management tools and talked over the way we want to go with our project.
Joomla!® Night Stockholm
There are quite a few Joomla! Days in the near future around the globe thanks to so many volunteers including Bade Adesemowo of the 4th Joomla! Day in Nigeria. But I think a Joomla! night is a first, so I had a skype chat with the organizer Martin Blodau.

Over the years I've been involved in Joomla!, I’ve seen some great improvements in templates. Many templates are now very sophisticated, slick and beautiful. Just compare the early work of any of the veteran template providers with their recent efforts to see the quantum leaps they’ve all made.

I remember when 4K of RAM was considered alot of memory. Granted, this was quite some time ago and things have certainly progressed since then. Today it seems like every other year adds a Giga-byte or two of RAM to the default configuration of our personal workstation. Well, a similar trend is evident with online memory in shared PHP environments.
Fighting Spam in a Joomla! Powered Website

SPAM! This is one problem that any webmaster today has to contend with in his daily tasks. If not dealt with on a fundamental level, it can really become a pain in the neck and also end up in consuming time. Not removing Spam comments/registrations/forums posts on websites can really be harmful for its reputation and credibility.
