Yes! I accepted the #IceBucketChallenge :)

Written by | 01 September 2014 | Published in 2014 September
The #IceBucketChallenge promotes awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourages donations to research.

I accepted the challenge on August 21. You can watch it here

I nominated

  • All the members of the Joomla Community
  • Matt Mullenweg, Founder of WordPress
  • Dries Buytaert, Founder of Drupal

Accept the challenge!

I accepted the challenge and many other leaders in open source projects have as well. Here are some of them. I've seen many members in the Joomla Community take on the challenge. If you're one of them and would like to share it please post a link to it in the comments :) If you haven't taken on the challenge yet now is the time. You are challenged!

Please don't forget to donate!

This #icebucketchallenge is a great way of creating awareness about ALS but awareness isn't enough. Please find a local foundation in your area that needs your donation to make a difference finding a cure to this horrible disease. I donated to the Swedish ALS foundation Ulla Carin Stiftelse. If you have a link to a foundation in your country please share and paste it in the comments for others to know.

Let's show the world our compassion ♡
