Developers: Joomla! 3 Update

 Joomla! 3 is less than a month away, so if you are a developer, it’s time to get moving and to plan and work ahead.      

This article is a follow-up/update to the previous announcement and will only add new information or update information, so please click here to read the previous announcement if you missed it or want a refresher.

Tentative Schedule for Joomla! 3

The tentative plan for the Joomla! 3 release schedule is as follows:

5 September 2012: Beta

26 September 2012: 3.0.0 Stable

Please note that dates are approximations.

The master branch of the Joomla CMS github repository contains the latest additions for Joomla! 3.0 (including the new admin template, as well as Bootstrap, and Bootstrap-powered UI). To get the latest version, visit the page and click the ZIP icon.
