To us, the people of Joomla

We’ve all read it, probably more than once: Joomla’s beating heart is the community

Our community is made of us: Joomla users, developers, designers, hobbyists and professionals. We use page builders, craft our own templates, stay far away from scripting or are true code poets.

We are committed, enthusiastic, flat-out lazy, reliable, or not trustworthy at all. We are flexible, determined to stick to our opinion or willing to listen.

We have an academic background, are college dropouts and/or self-educated. We're totally ignorant, studious, eager to learn or little-miss-know-it-alls.

We're rich, poor, or doing OK if we just work hard. We're from small towns, cities, villages and metropoles all over Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia or Europe.

We are male, female or everything in between, straight, not entirely straight or not straight at all. We wear high heels, trainers, sandals, boots or flip flops. We run marathons, play soccer or cricket, or we're not really the sporty type.

We are religious, atheist or agnostic. We're liberal, conservative, progressive, socialist or anarchist.

We are loud, extraverted party animals or the quiet majority. We are vegetarians, vegans or eat everything.

This weird collection is who we are: the people of Joomla. Without this magnificent community of extremely different individuals, Joomla would not be the fantastic product it is today.

So here's to us, the people of Joomla:

Thank you for being you. And, on behalf of the whole JCM team, I would like to wish you all the best for 2023. Be happy. Be yourself. And together, be Joomla!
