The first of many virtual events reminds Joomla! newbies and professionals that keeping their Joomla! website updated is not an option it's a responsibility.
On November 28, 2016 six Joomlers came together to start an initiative to help Joomla! site owners update their Joomla! website with free assistance from leading experts. What made the project even special, was its efforts to reach Joomla's global community, by making the event totally virtual.
Update Day exceeded its goal (100 updates) by performing updates on 156 Joomla websites. Each participant received a virtual gift bag with an assortment of discounts and special offers from popular Joomla! extensions and templates.
