This year, we held a two-day event, the first day consisted of traditional sessions and keynotes. The second day was broken into two tracks that actually ended up being three tracks!
The Developer Track was split into two and had deep dev going on in one room with David Hurley and Michael Babker. There was bug squashing in another room led by Matt Thomas and Ken Crowder.
The Administrator Track featured Dawn Russell in the morning talking about Joomla and site security. Ruth Cheesly spoke in the afternoon about Google+ for Business. Both sessions were packed with information and we all wanted more! There have been some great suggestions for next year!
Based on popular demand from last year, lunch was an open networking hour without a keynote speaker. This was the perfect opportunity to get to know everyone, and we held the first meeting of the newly rejuvenated Boston JUG with about ten attendees. Stay tuned to the JCM for more information about the Boston JUG meetings.
A huge thank you once again to Microsoft for the use of the NERD Center, and ALL of our sponsors, speakers and attendees! We could not do this event without you!
As Robert Jacobi says, "This is one of the best JoomlaDays in the country – from topics to organization to venue – top notch! I would highly recommend it to everyone! You can quote me on that." Thanks, Robert!
As always, if you have never attended a JoomlaDay event, what are you waiting for? Go out, meet some great people, and learn more about all things Joomla!
Be sure to pencil in March 14 & 15, 2015 for next year's JoomlaDay Boston, we will be able to confirm the dates after November of this year.
