2012 is now well underway, and for the month of March 2012, there's four JoomlaDay events to look forward to. As someone who lives at the Southern tip of Africa, I'm happy to see two events from African countries among these! Here's the roundup for this month:

JoomlaDay Kenya, Nairobi

The first ever JoomlaDay Kenya will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on Friday the 16th of March 2012 from 09h00 till 17h00.

This is an ideal opportunity for East Africa Community for Joomla! users to come together and meet some of the Joomla! enthusiastics and experts. This event will include presentations and workshops, with a wide variety of topics, and the most knowledgeable speakers.

This event will allow web publishing professionals, businesses, civil society organizations, students, as well as the general public, to discover Joomla! Workshops are scheduled to cover the fundamentals and master the basics of Joomla!

JoomlaDay Gabon is organized by the anti-globalization association Attac Gabon, aiming to create a platform for users of Joomla! in the subregion.

Thanks Jacques for giving us this summary of upcoming JoomlaDay events around the world! JoomlaDays represent so much of what is important to keep our community strong and growing. It's great to be able to step away from our computers and meet others face to face, to talk and to listen, to learn and to share, to connect and to grow.

It's a lot of work to plan and organize and promote a JoomlaDay. I know your contribution to write these articles is appreciated both by the event organizers as well as all of those who learn about a JoomlaDay here on the JCM and then decide to be a participant.
