July was a month for upgrades and migrations. Lots of new improvements under the hood - check them out!

Joomla.org - Cooking with Gas!

We are pleased to announce the successful migration of joomla.org to Joomla 2.5! Thanks to Community Leadership Team (CLT) member Sander Potjer for bringing the site over without a hitch. More sites in the j.org family are lined up to join the 2.5 club. Thanks to all who are coordinating this - it is a lot of work!

Joomla Forum Upgrade

With over half a million users and more than double that in visits each month, the Joomla forum is a happening place. Last month the forum server got a big boost from Rochen, our hosting company, to solve some traffic-related issues. You can read about the new webserver and load balancer in Peter Martin's leadership blog

Community Leadership Summit

OSM members Paul Orwig and Javier Gomez represented Joomla at the Community Leadership Summit 2012 in Portland. Each shares the wealth of insight and experience they got out of the event in this issue (click to read Paul's and Javier's articles). Gems of wisdom and good times! Thanks for sharing guys - we can all learn from your reports.

Joomla World Conference or Bust

Tickets are on sale on the JWC website, and will be highly attended by Joomla leadership members from all teams. We hope to see you there!
