As the Events Team lead, and the JUG Team lead, we want to see Joomla User Groups publish their events, because the Joomla Community wants to know about all your events. We also want you to add these events to your JUG’s pages in a way that requires low effort because we want you to spread the word.
After several long years of virtual-only or very few Joomla! Events, our community has come back strong! Our Joomla User Groups are getting back together both virtually and in person. Event committees have been collaborating to start again with Joomla Day events, Joomla Camp events, and other creative events. Some events are in person, others are virtual. We are in a new world where we can give each other hugs and collaborate from across the ponds! Let’s highlight three great events: one ongoing, two coming up.
The German-speaking Joomla community has always been well-connected - now the connection has been strengthened.
On September 23 and 24, the joint JoomlaDay DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) took place in Bad Hersfeld (Germany) and the feedback was extremely positive.
At the end of May we had a wonderful JoomlaDay FR in Brussels/Belgium.
Ever heard of unconference events? Joomla has at least two: JoomlaCamp in Germany and Joostock in The Netherlands. David Jardin is one of the organizers of JoomlaCamp, JCM’s Anja de Crom is in the Joostock Team. They love to share with us what unconferences are all about and how Joomla can benefit from them.
It's always good to be on the winning side. The reward after the weeks, months or years of hard work. It takes dedication and focus to win, if it’s a team game then it's also about cohesion and communication, support and solidarity.
