About Denver

Nestled against the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 5280 feet, the historic city of Denver is known as the Mile High City. Many years ago Denver was a popular destination for gold miners. These days, Denver is known for it's big blue skies and firey sunsets, it's vast selection of mirco-breweries and restuarunts, a Super Bowl winning football team (go Broncos!), and the expansive Rocky Mountain playground and ski resort paradise just a short drive to the west.

These are a few reasons Denver has been rated the #1 city in the USA to live in 2016 by numerous sources, not to mention Denver is consistently on the short list of best places to work in the US tech industry. Denver’s central location in the US has always played a role in the communications industry and over the years it has evolved into a hotspot for the tech industry. The local economy is booming and the spirit of Denver has never been stronger, or more beautiful. The most dangerous thing about visiting Denver is you may not want to leave - many people who visit never do.

Final Words From The Event Host

Organizing a JoomlaDay in Denver has been my goal for several years, and I couldn't be happier with how it has come together. This event has been a long time in the making and it's been quite a ride getting here, but it's the least I can do to show my thanks to the Joomla! community that has given me so much, my home town where I grew up, and everyone in both communities who have inspired me along the way. We have an amazing group of people, an amazing event planned, and we are going to have a blast. I hope you can be with us.

If you're not able to attend be sure to follow us on social media. We’ll have plenty of resources, pictures and memories from the event to share with you all. Thanks to everyone in the Joomla! and Denver communities for all of your encouragement and support. Cheers from the Mile High City :)
