Coming up: Joomla's legendary Pizza, Bugs & Fun event. This is your chance to contribute directly to Joomla, have fun and enjoy a free pizza all at the same time! PBF is THE Global Joomla Event where coders and non-technies unite to make Joomla 5.3 our best Joomla ever. Block February 22, 2025 in your schedule, host a location if you can, bring your Joomla friends together and smash those bugs!

How can you prepare?

Join our Mattermost-Channel and benefit from the training video we share to get you ready. It’s easy to follow and if you still have any doubts, just ask in the channel. We will offer pre-installed Joomla Instances so you don't have to install Joomla yourself, and we'll also offer a Video-Call to connect worldwide. So you’re not alone on that day and can directly dive in to contribute and improve Joomla.

Feel free to gather together at locations, meet friends online to work together or do everything from your desk, every contribution counts. Also don’t forget to check out the official website. It has all the necessary links, explanations and more.

Join the Joomla Newsletter to receive updates on PBF25!

Let’s get ready to crumble!

Pizza, Bugs, and Fun is so much more than just an event; it's a movement. It's where your love for technology meets the warmth of a community, all over the shared passion for pizza. So, whether you're a coder, a writer, or someone who loves to organize, there's a place for you at PBF!

About the author

Before I got my current job as Coordinator Communications & Digital, I ran my own company for 25 years. The first 15 years I was a writer / editor / journalist / writing coach, but then I created my first website with Joomla... and I was hooked. I switched careers and became a website developer. My current job combines these two skills, so that's a win-win 🙂

Why I contribute to Joomla

To many people Joomla is just a tool. But if you look a little closer, you'll notice it's much more than that. It's a living system, raised and nourished by a community of volunteers dedicating their time to make it the best CMS ever. Without volunteers, Joomla wouldn't exist. It's not 'just a product'. Everyone who uses Joomla, can do so because someone, somewhere, contributed to it. I want to give back to the community that keeps Joomla alive.

And, probably needless to say: I love being part of that community.

Contributing to Joomla by volunteering brought me so much: valuable experience, more knowledge and a better understanding of Joomla and its community, and the opportunity to work together with a crowd of lovely people all over the world.
