Joomla! World Conference 2026

These cookies look and taste good. And you don't need a user consent banner!

Two years ago, my husband gave us a 3D printer for Christmas. My middle son and I like such gadgets and so we have created some more or less useful things over the last two years. Mostly from 3D models that you can download from various collections (printables.com, cults3d.com, to name a few). But we have also learnt to create models ourselves in Tinkercad (tinkercad.com).

The organisation team of the JoomlaDay DACH once had the idea to get (Joomla) cookie cutters as giveaways for the participants. But the prices were pretty steep. So I came up with the idea that I could make the cookie cutter myself using the 3D printer. At first I looked for cookie cutter models, I realised that I wouldn't find a cookie cutter with the Joomla logo, but I wanted to see how to go about it in principle (you don't have to reinvent the wheel). After a few attempts, I made a usable mould:

The cookie cutter is designed to cut out a round biscuit and emboss the logo on the dough at the same time. The biscuits can then be decorated with icing in Joomla colours.

Whether I can print 180 pieces for the next JoomlaDay is still questionable. But I would be very happy if more cookie cutters and the corresponding cookies were created.
