Another year, another Joomla World Conference…Once again I had a wonderful experience with the Joomla Community in Vancouver, Canada. I believe many that also attended will agree with me. It feels like powering up and boosting my brain with new and improved Joomla knowledge.

La seguridad es un tema que vemos con mayor preocupación día a día, en especial, los que hacemos o tenemos contacto con algún área tecnológica. Por tal motivo decidimos abordar una entrevista con el cofundador de Sucuri, una empresa dedicada a la seguridad web. Con el tema: “El delicado arte de la seguridad web” (The Gentle Art of Website Security) como una de las conferencias principales de JWC16, Dre Armeda nos ofreció una interesante entrevista y al mismo tiempo nos contó qué es lo que Sucuri puede hacer por nosotros, en cuanto a seguridad web se refiere.

Eric Kuan trabaja en Google apoyando a los webmasters y estuvo en la Joomla! World Conference compartiendo con los asistentes durante tres días y presentando una de las conferencias principales sobre AMP y seguridad web.

Asistir como invitado a un evento como la Joomla World Conference es un honor y un privilegio que nos compromete aún más con nuestro CMS favorito.

De regreso de Lisboa y Granada, donde asistí a dos fantásticos y diferentes eventos tecnológicos (más sobre ellos aquí, El Desafío de alcanzar La Cumbre), tengo una J-historia más que contar. En Lisboa, asistí a la WebSummit. La Web Summit (originalmente Dublin Web Summit) es una conferencia de tecnología que se celebra anualmente desde 2009. El tema de la conferencia está centrado en la tecnología de Internet y los asistentes van desde compañías de la lista Fortune 500 hasta empresas tecnológicas más pequeñas. Esto contiene una mezcla de CEOs y fundadores de start ups de tecnología junto con una gama de personas de toda la industria de tecnología global, así como industrias relacionadas. Por otro lado, en Granada, asistí al JoomlaDay Granada. Los JoomlaDays son eventos de la comunidad Joomla, organizados por grupos de usuarios locales (JUGs) de cada ciudad.

¿Qué es un dominio? ¿En dónde va a estar mi página web? ¿Qué es un sitio web? ¿No es gratis?

Los sitemaps XML sirven para comunicarse con los motores de búsqueda, notificándolos rápidamente de contenido nuevo o modificado, ayudando a asegurar que el contenido sea indexado.

Para que Joomla! funcione se necesitan por lo menos tres programas: Interprete PHP (que es el lenguaje que predomina en el desarrollo de Joomla!), MySQL y Apache que es el encargado de proveer los diferentes servicios propios de la web.

More than an opportunity to find new talents for Joomla! and improve the software, Google Summe of Code, or simply put GSoC, is a big reunion of open source lovers to share, learn, teach and have fun. In 2016,year we had siz excellent student projects that were accepted by Google to be part of this program designed to encourage university student participation in open source software development.
