Joomla is very flexible and has many possibilities. A disadvantage is that working with Joomla can seem complex because of all of the setting and navigation choices. For a Joomla specialist this is usually not an issue, but for many end users it can be a stumbling block. Adding new articles via the Joomla frontend is often one of the first things end users face. This should be a simple operation, but many experience this as very complex.

Il y a quelque temps j'ai découvert le coeur dans le logo Joomla. Il a toujours été là et je ne sais pour quelle raison je ne l'avais pas vu. Et maintenant je ne cesse de le voir. Je ne peux pas le sortir de mon esprit. Le créateur du logo a vraiment capturé l'essence de Joomla. Un coeur. Ou plusieurs coeurs si vous regardez de plus près. C'est très astucieux. Le coeur peut avoir différentes significations pour notre communauté. En voici certaines que je vois et que j'aimerais partager avec vous.
Le GPL nous offre un fabuleux espace de libertés, y compris lorsqu’il s’agit de répondre à nos besoins spécifiques en nous offrant la possibilité de réutiliser et d’adapter un logiciel. Mais un tel pouvoir s’accompagne immanquablement de grandes responsabilités. Je me souviens de l'adage : "Ce n'est pas parce que vous pouvez que vous devez". Et dans ce cas précis, je pense au fait de vendre un logiciel écrit par d'autres et, ceci, comme s'il était le vôtre.

Nous avons vu dans le premier article consacré à la création d'un site Joomla!, les principales étapes à suivre (avec quelques conseils, histoire de gagner du temps). En l'état, votre site est parfaitement opérationnel et prêt à accueillir vos futurs visiteurs. Cependant, vous aimeriez lui apporter des fonctions supplémentaires, le personnaliser, le sécuriser, etc. Pour cela, vous allez avoir besoin d'utiliser des extensions qui viendront se greffer à votre installation "native". Enfin, nous verrons les différents contrôles à effectuer avant la mise en ligne de votre site.
Certains comportements rencontrés sur les forums, m'irritent au plus au point (l'âge sans doute ?) et le site forum.joomla.fr ne déroge pas à la règle. Aussi, quand je suis récemment tombé sur l'article écrit par Michael Russel pour Kunena, j'ai été ravi de trouver quelqu'un qui partageait mon sentiment et je me suis dit que ce serait dommage de ne pas en faire profiter tout le monde...
