Spanish speakers, like myself, like to give our opinion and be heard in our own language. We don't let culture or political division prevent us from supporting each other. We seem to quickly accept and embrace individuals into our circle of friends, treating them like a brother or sister almost instantly.

Git's "rebase" command takes advantage of the distributed nature of git to enable you to do some really useful and creative things in your repository. Of course, like all power tools, rebase can be abused. Let's take a closer look at what can be done through rebasing, and where and when you should use it. This article assumes familiarity with software version control systems in general, as well as a basic familiarity with git itself. While it does explore some git fundamentals, it is not intended to be a primer on git usage.

For six years I have been struggling to make a living out of Joomla! in Japan. Not many web site developers are using Joomla, but are using WordPress instead. There are many reasons for this. Joomla is a very powerful information publishing tool and I believe Joomla is the next generation home page system for those who are unfamiliar with HTML tags and Dreamweaver, and I am one of them.

Joomla 1.5 has several sort orders defined to arrange the articles in a specific sequence for displaying in the blog and list layouts. The sort orders are primarily based on the created date, title, hits, and pre-defined order of the articles. There may be situations where one would like to see a combination of articles in the order that has been recently modified and/or created like the option View New Posts in the Joomla forums. Currently, there is no sort order available to handle this situation. This paper discusses about how to implement this new sort order, Recently Touched Date.

But many users may not know that the look and feel of the backend administrator's area for a Joomla! website is also defined by a template, and backend templates can be changed just as easily as frontend templates. In the last two years, we have seen an explosion of Latina bloggers who are now considered “the” fastest growing population online. Not only is this because the web has become more accessible, but Latinos account for 56% of US growth in the past decade. The US census predicts that by 2020, 18% of the population, or 1 in 5 people will be Latino. Not surprisingly, this past spring, Google symbolically hired a team devoted specifically to Hispanic marketing.

As more web enabled devices are released on the market, people are viewing the internet with different tools. Smart phones, tablets, portable gaming devices, car entertainment units and even household appliances, like fridges, have empowered users to stay connected to the internet all day long. 

Did you know that Joomla! is used by more people who are non-native English speakers than native English speakers.The Joomla community is working hard to improve support for internationalisation in all the areas of the project, particularly for the CMS.
