Many Joomla users are familiar with Falang, the well-known multilingual extension — but few know the story of the developer behind it: Stéphane Bouey.

If you read his author bio here on the JCM website, you'll find Philip Walton is a rower, juggler, cricket fan, warm beer tasting expert, unicyclist and a patented inventor. He's also the Secretary of the Board of Open Source Matters (the organisation that facilitates Joomla). What does this serial Board Member think about Joomla and its community? But who really knows its creator, Cyril Reze? A self-taught developer based in Brittany, France, Cyril cultivates discretion as much as rigor.

The Joomla! project is incredible not only because Joomla is the best CMS in the world, but also because our volunteers are skilful, powerful, and highly competent. Joomla volunteers never cease to surprise me with their optimism and positivity, always aiming to help the Joomla! project and benefit the community. 

This month we have with us another amazing woman of Joomla. The lady who, for more than a decade now has been the voice of Joomla’s social media, Alison Meeks. I always liked to call her the Angel of Joomla because Alison saved the day in multiple instances, a fact that serves as a demonstration of her dedication to her role and her love for Joomla. Alison has been one of the most valuable and devoted volunteers in the Joomla community.

Art liberates you. It is the boundless, limitless, infinite field that allows you the freedom to express yourself. For this reason, I have always liked creativity, and throughout my career, I have been lucky enough to collaborate with creative people with more than just an artistic flair. This is also the reason I joined the JCM graphics production team. This is how I met Sandra Decoux.

Leadership Interview: Carlos Camara

Joomla! relies on a strong operational backbone to ensure the smooth functioning of its various teams and projects. At the forefront of this effort is Carlos Cámara, who has just been re-elected as Operations Department Coordinator. His role is to provide support, foster collaboration, and help volunteers work efficiently across different areas of the project.
