Leadership Highlights - December 2012
The Joomla! Joint Leadership summit was an excellent opportunity to spend time together as one big group, share ideas, plan and increase our understanding of each team's ongoing work.
On the two days before the Joomla World Conference (JWC) in November, the three Joomla leadership teams: the Community Leadership Team (CLT), the Production Leadership Team (PLT) and the board of Open Source Matters (OSM) met for team and joint summit meetings.
You can read about the leadership summit in the joint leadership blog report.
New Community Development Manager
A new volunteer position of Community Development Manager has been created. David Hurley has been asked to take on this key role of helping to connect developers in the community with the Production Working Groups. It was a pleasure meeting David at the JWC. Given his experience and warm, friendly approach, David is perfect for this job.
Production Leadership Team - New Faces
Michael Babker and Nick Savov have recently joined the PLT. Their skills and dedication will bring many good things to the project, and we thank them. But that's not all! The PLT is still on the lookout to grow its membership. Stay tuned to the leadership blog for more info.
Leadership Terms, Goals and Documentation
This report has been several months in the making, and like all good things, it was worth the wait. In short, Joomla's three leadership teams are evolving and working together more and more, and trying to align some things for better balance. This is progress. Go Team Joomla!
