Celebrating Joomla in All Seasons
In many cultures, Autumn and Spring are times of festivals celebrating harvest and thanksgiving, or life, renewal and rebirth.
Here in the Southern hemisphere, we are now enjoying a welcome cool Autumn, after an extremely hot summer, while in the Northern hemisphere, Spring is driving away the cold winter blues.
In the Joomla community we are celebrating the release of Joomla 3.5.0. Many people helped contribute to this release and work is already started on Joomla 3.6
We also celebrate Joomla at the many community events. This past weekend we had the first Joomladay in Butabika, Uganda, and next week is the 11th edition of the well-established Dutch JoomlaDays in Zeist, followed by JoomlaDay Salvador - Bahia in Salvador, Brazil.
During JDay Bahia, the Co-Lead Editor of the Joomla Community Magazine (JCM), Helvecio da Silva, will be promoting the magazine around the audience.
At the end of April there will be a JoomlaDay in Kigali, Rwanda, and La Rioja in northern Spain, followed by one of the oldest Joomla community events, namely JoomlaDay France in Levallois Perret, near Paris.
The month of May kicks off with JoomlaDay Libreville - Gabon, followed by JoomlaDay Moscow in Russia, and ending with the first rendezvous of the Malian Joomla community in Bamako, Mali.
In May we also have the J and Beyond conference in Barcelona. Radek Suski writes about J and Beyond as a family gathering.
Celebrate and contribute
I encourage you to attend one of these Joomla events, and celebrate Joomla with us.
We hope you enjoy reading all the stories in our April edition, and invite you to become a JCM author and also share your stories and knowledge with us
