Have You Browsed Joomla.org Lately?

One of the presentations I was most interested in during the Joomla World Conference 2012 was Everything You Always Wanted to Know About the JCM (But Were Afraid to Ask) by Alice Grevet and Dianne Henning. They promoted the magazine and how it can be an asset for people with different interests related to Joomla! It made me wonder, how much of Joomla.org is still invisible to the vast majority.

I consider Joomla.org a portal with different entries to the amazing world of this CMS that is used and loved by thousands around the world. A while ago, I noticed I could find in it answers to questions I had, be it in the magazine, the forum, documentation or elsewhere.

And have you ever wondered about how secure is your Joomla website? Then this article in the Joomla Magazine is a must read on what you can do to be on the safe side!

If you are planning on dressing up Joomla cool, why not pay a visit to the Joomla Shop? Here is the link.

One of the things that helped me most since I started using Joomla is the portal's About section, where I have gathered valuable information which I use to pitch new Joomla based projects to prospective clients.

Those of you out there who want to be a part of the Joomla project can start at the Community & Support area, where you can find information about events, user groups, documentation and much more. Get involved!

Joomla is a flexible CMS, where you can Extend its capabilities and usage in different ways. The widely known Joomla extensions give extra powers to your installations. The Showcase Directory can inspire you for your next project layout or even a new idea on how to use Joomla. If you are looking for ways to improve the way you use the CMS or even have ideas to share, check the Resources Directory. Need Joomla in a language other than English or would like to help translate it to your language? Check the Translation area. Or if you have a great idea that you believe Joomla will benefit from, throw it into the Idea Pool. Good ideas get votes and might be available in a future version of Joomla. Developers can find most everything they need to start cooking cool ideas to be used in the Joomla Project.

And last, but not least, in the Downloads link you find the latest stable release packages of Joomla to be installed locally or remotely.

If you don't find what you need regarding Joomla., just give the Official Team a holler. They are listening!

Come visit joomla.org. We are waiting for your input.
