Joomla! is a community powered project, and our global community is full of talented and energetic people who love to share. There are lots of areas in the project where help is needed, but sometimes it can be a challenge to know what those areas of need are and how to follow up about becoming a volunteer contributor.
The Help wanted in the community forum has been created as a new way to help connect willing prospective volunteers with current openings in all areas of the Joomla! project. All you have to do is go to the Help wanted in the community forum and browse through the different topics. Each topic will give a summary of one or more roles along with a link to learn more or to follow up with a contact person.
This forum is a new resource, so it will take some time for all areas of the project to add their current openings. Here are the currently published volunteer openings:

Becoming a volunteer contributor is a great way to give back to this great free open source project, and to make new friends from around the world. Once you become a volunteer contributor, you will find that it's a lot of fun too!
