Even with the summer vacation well underway, the Joomla! World Conference Team has been busy behind the scenes planning what will be an awesome event!
Even though this is the first annual JoomlaDay Houston, the line-up of speakers and keynotes is absolutely stellar and make it a must attend event!
In June I will be in São Paulo, Brazil, the largest city in South America. During an event called The e-Show, I will be making a presentation about how the community is important to Joomla! I sent out a request for a video where people would state their names, occupation and proudly say: "I AM JOOMLA!".
OK, so maybe "party" isn’t the right word, but Joomla User Group (JUG) in Milwaukee (Wisconsin, USA) met last Thursday for their 50th meeting.
If you plan to attend all the Joomla! events over the next few months, your journey will take you from Europe to South America, and on to Africa.
Amidst the tranquil backdrop of JoomlaDay Netherlands, the Joomla "Doktors" donned their white jackets and sat down to help folks with what was ailing them, be it code, a question or a quick session on fixing a problem with a site. At one point, we had ten people around the table, of which eight were women.
We had a great turn-out and a high percentage of women (26.6%) at the first JoomlaDay Boston held on March 16 at the Microsoft NERD Center.
