Hi, I'm Niels, owner of BSDS, a software development company from Germany near the Danish border.
I started programming already in the mid of the 70s in the last century. I'm programming PHP/MySQL for many years now, specialized in Mambo in 2004 and switched to Joomla! at its very early beginning. In 2006 I joined Joomla!'s Quality & Testing Workgroup, and was a member till its end; now I'm member of the Joomla! Bug Squad.

CMS Testing
From early Mambo days until today, Joomla! has constantly amended and extended functionality. With Joomla! 1.5, quality and user experience changed to the better, and it did so with version 2.5. Moving to GitHub has made it easier to contribute and to see what things different developers are working on. Now, the focus more and more goes to the next logical step: Automated tests.
