Previously, she was the Communications Manager for Wikipedia. She graduated from American University with a double degree in International Relations and Public Relations.

In November I asked the question on the Joomla! Google Plus group, “If Joomla! had a mascot, what animal or thing would it be?”
In the last two years, we have seen an explosion of Latina bloggers who are now considered “the” fastest growing population online. Not only is this because the web has become more accessible, but Latinos account for 56% of US growth in the past decade. The US census predicts that by 2020, 18% of the population, or 1 in 5 people will be Latino. Not surprisingly, this past spring, Google symbolically hired a team devoted specifically to Hispanic marketing.

Top 5 Holiday Tips for Joomla! Nerds

The holidays are right around the corner and unfortunately, I am not talking about Pi or Hobbit Day. I'm talking about traditional holidays with non-techie folk.
On the surface, public relations and search engine optimization (SEO) seem worlds apart. One is based on search engine algorithms, while the other is based on subjective persuasion. However, in today's new media landscape they are brothers in arms.
