Keeping up with Joomla News

With so much information coming from the various Joomla teams, it can be hard to stay on top of all the latest awesomeness. To make your lives a little easier, the Joomla Magazine Team and the Joomla Extension Directory Team are working together to share more information via existing channels.

The Joomla Resources Directory (JRD) team has been hard at work and we've got some milestones, announcements and other important pieces of information to share with the entire community. Feel free to register for our newsletter on our homepage or read our blog to get frequent JRD updates. Taking over the Joomla! Bug Squad Lead

A few weeks ago I took over as team lead for the Joomla! Bug Squad (JBS). There hasn’t been much news about this change until now. First and foremost I want to thank Nick Savov for leading the JBS the last couple of years. A big round of applause please. A Thank You to CloudAccess.net

About 5 years ago Open Source Matters decided to start a demo program and put out a call for an RFP to hosting companies. Leadership Highlights October 2014

Work in Progress - Though the sign might be annoying from time to time when you see it, at least you know it’s there with the ultimate goal to get something improved. And as much as we wish to get things right from the start on, we all know that help is needed to finally achieve that perfect goal.

We want to send a big thank you to Open Source Matters and the entire Joomla Community for allowing us to be the official host of demo program for the past four and a half years. We were fortunate to serve the community in this capacity for so long and we look forward to making a lot of great contributions to the project for years to come.

Leadership Highlights September 2014

September - while the leaves have not left the tree yet, the change of color that provides an astonishing picture is also the sign that change is ahead. Only two months before a huge part of our community meets at the Joomla World Conference (JWC) in Cancun, Mexico. Only four months for Joomla 2.5 to become end of life.

Joomla! on Lanyrd

Organising an event can be quite a difficult process – finding a venue, getting listed on events.joomla.org, organising sponsors and more. The Joomla! project has made one step that little bit easier – finding and inviting speakers from within the Joomla Leadership Teams to attend your events – with their new Lanyrd Team.
