With 62 attendees and speakers, we had a great turn-out for the second JoomlaDay Boston event! We had a great group of Joomla folks this year! We teamed up with JoomlaDay New England and Julio Merji even traveled all the way from Rio de Janiero to attend his very first JoomlaDay event!
From March 10 - 14, CeBit, the world's largest IT fair opened its doors in Hannover, Germany. CeBIT is by far the most important IT related fair in Europe and also has a big international impact, which is underlined by the fact that this year’s CeBIT was visited by people from more than 100 different countries. Like last year, the Joomla! project, represented by a team of well known volunteers from the local community, was part of the CMS Garden booth in Hall 6 at the event.

From May 30 to June 1st near Frankfurt, Germany the Joomla community from across the world will be gathering at J and Beyond
for 3 days of "Investing in our Future". This is the 5th year of J and Beyond and each time we try to do something a little different. This year is no exception.
All good things ends quickly. Our distinguished guests returned to their homes and everyday duties. Thanks to you, dear participants, wonderful atmosphere during the Joomla! Winter Weekend 2014 will be such nice memory.
CMS AFRICA, an organization which creates awareness on various open source CMSs is partnering with Kenya’s premier Business Institute of higher learning, Strathmore University, to host the CMS Africa Summit. The two day summit slated for March 7th and 8th, Nairobi, Kenya, is expected to attract web designers, web analysts, app developers, web administrators, government agencies, and digital marketers in Africa.
It's that time. The time of year when you start to organize your calendar and plan your events. I know, you should have done it January 1, start the year off right. You probably had every intention of making 2014 the year you were in complete control of your tasks, your projects, and your calendar. Now before you've even had time to breathe, it's February. I can't tell you how it happens but it always does - and now it has happened again. But don't worry, don't fret, and certainly don't give up on your goals. It's never to late to start planning. Which means now is the perfect time to discuss an important opportunity.
The first Joomla! User Group meeting in Poland, called JUG-Silesia, met on December 14. Forty people came to hear three interesting presentations, and a lot of awards were in store for the participants.
When I arrived at the Harvard Medical School building for the Joomla! World Conference 2013, I took a moment to look around. In November 2012 I went to San Jose, CA, to attend the very first JWC. There, I expanded my understanding about what the Open Source community is all about, and I got involved in the Joomla community as an illustrator for the Joomla! Community Magazine. After a while I started to wonder: what's next? I went to the second Joomla! World Conference in Boston looking for an answer...
